Ole 60

Originating in Hawesville, Kentucky, Ole 60 began to take shape in 2023 around Jacob Ty Young and Tristan Roby, childhood friends who started writing and playing together before expanding the project into a septet. The band developed a sound between country, alt‑country, southern rock and folk, with an Appalachian sensibility in the storytelling, gritty guitars, acoustic textures and regular use of pedal steel, banjo and mandolin. Ole 60 first moved forward with the EP three twenty-four, released in 2023, then with Songs About You in 2024, while tracks like "smoke & a light" and "Thoughts of You" quickly broadened their audience. Their debut album, Smokestack Town, produced by Jacquire King, was released in 2025 and continues their songwriting preoccupation with small‑town life, damaged relationships and a very earthy melancholy. Having worked the American country circuit, Ole 60 also supported Dylan Gossett in 2024 and made their Grand Ole Opry debut in January 2025. Ole 60 thus sits within a contemporary country vein that blends rural storytelling, rock energy and a tight-band format.
