Lauren Sanderson

Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Lauren Sanderson first builds her online visibility before steering her career toward writing and singing at the crossroads of pop, hip hop, R&B and an alt rock tinged with rap rock. Her early projects, the Center of Expression EPs in 2016 and Spaces in 2017, lay the groundwork for a direct format where melodic lines, spoken-rap phrasing and choruses crafted for short, nerve-wracking tracks alternate. After a stint with Epic Records, notably marked by the Dont Panic! EP in 2018 and a version of Written in the Stars with PnB Rock, Lauren Sanderson quickly returns to a more independent trajectory, while continuing to tour and appear on pop and alternative stages. She followed with the Hasta La Vista EP in 2019, then the album Midwest Kids Can Make It Big in 2020, before shifting her writing toward a more rock-inflected register on Death of a Fantasy in 2022. This inflection continues with the EP Songs I’ll Eat You Out To in 2023, the track Gay 4 Me shared with G Flip, then Fine Ill Get In My Feelings in 2024. Based in Nashville, Lauren Sanderson maintains in her songs a direct approach, blending pop-punk energy, hip-hop rhythms and songs centered on identity, relationships and mental health.
