Qveen Herby

Under the name Qveen Herby, American singer and rapper Amy Noonan has been developing since the late 2010s a project centered on a hybrid hip‑hop sound mixed with R&B and pop. Born Amy Heidemann in Seward, Nebraska, and trained at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, she first gained attention as part of the pop duo Karmin with Nick Noonan, initially active on YouTube and later signed to Epic Records, notably releasing the album Pulses in 2014. From 2017 onward, the shift to Qveen Herby marked a refocusing on a more rap‑oriented world, driven by often introspective lyrics, a fast flow, and sung choruses drawing from contemporary R&B. That year she released her first projects under the new name, including EP 1 and EP 2, beginning a series of digital EPs that gradually established her sonic identity—minimalist productions, touches of electronic pop, and restrained trap influences. Based in the United States, Qveen Herby regularly collaborates with longtime partner Nick Noonan, here primarily as producer and co‑writer, and crafts a coherent visual aesthetic showcased in her videos and on social media. In 2021, the album A Woman gathered and extended the directions hinted at on the EPs, confirming Qveen Herby’s solo trajectory distinct from Karmin, with singing and rapping occupying equal ground.
