Arm's Length

An emo project from Ontario, Canada, Arm’s Length crafts a blend of melodic pop‑punk and indie rock defined by contrasting guitars, a dense rhythm section, and vocals that balance fragility and tension. Formed in the late 2010s, Arm’s Length emerged within North America’s DIY community with the 2019 EP “What’s Mine Is Yours,” which laid the groundwork for a sound combining fast‑paced energy, catchy melodies, and introspective lyrics. In 2021, the EP “Everything Nice” refined that aesthetic with more structured compositions and a stronger focus on transitions between quiet passages and rougher sections, while maintaining lyrical themes centered on family relationships, anxiety, and coming of age. The debut album “Never Before Seen, Never Again Found,” released in 2022, allowed the band to broaden its scope toward a more expansive strain of emo, where detailed guitar lines, understated backing vocals, and dynamic shifts coexist. In line with the new wave of emo and pop‑punk, Arm’s Length has been performing extensively in mid‑sized venues and across independent circuits in Canada and the United States.
