BØRNS

Under the name BØRNS, Garrett Borns has been developing a psychedelic pop sound since the mid‑2010s, blended with indie pop, electropop and glam rock, driven by a prominent falsetto and luminous arrangements. Born in Grand Haven, Michigan, BØRNS began performing on stage at a young age before settling in Los Angeles, where his project took a clearer shape. His first EP, Candy (2014), laid the foundations for flexible melodic songwriting—between pop choruses, hazy textures and nods to the psychedelic aesthetics of the 1970s. He then expanded that framework with Dopamine (2015) and Blue Madonna (2018), two albums that mix airy ballads, more danceable rhythms and synthetic production that never feels cold. Over the course of his career, BØRNS has moved between pop and alternative scenes with an approach that combines a feel for the song form, a taste for dreamy atmospheres and a carefully crafted stage image, while occasionally collaborating with other artists, notably Lana Del Rey.
