Lord Huron
Founded in Los Angeles by Michigan-born musician Ben Schneider, Lord Huron began as a solo project before evolving into a full band centered on four musicians. Rooted in an indie-folk and folk-rock aesthetic, Lord Huron blends reverb-drenched guitars, vocal harmonies and cinematic atmospheres drawing on Americana, dreamlike pop and western soundtracks. The project attracted attention in the early 2010s with self-released EPs and then with the 2012 album “Lonesome Dreams,” marked by imagery of wide-open spaces and itinerant storytelling. Lord Huron deepened this narrative strand on “Strange Trails” (2015), where songs revolve around recurring characters and darker moods, before shifting toward more psychedelic, nocturnal hues with “Vide Noir” (2018). In 2021, “Long Lost” explores a universe inspired by old variety shows and studio orchestras, confirming Lord Huron’s interest in concept albums, musical fictions and songwriting conceived for the stage, which the band presents on North American and European tours.
