Tenille Townes

Born in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Tenille Townes developed an early songwriting voice rooted in country pop and narrative song. She began in the late 2000s in Canada under her birth name, Tenille Nadkrynechny, with the track "Home Now", then released the albums Real in 2011 and Light in 2013 before moving to Nashville that same year. In Nashville she refined a contemporary country aesthetic of acoustic ballads, pop choruses and lyrics focused on characters, family ties and the fragilities of everyday life. After the EP Living Room Worktapes in 2018, she signed with Columbia Nashville and followed with "Somebody’s Daughter", then "Jersey on the Wall (I’m Just Asking)" and "Come as You Are". Her album The Lemonade Stand was released in 2020, followed by the EP Masquerades in 2022, Train Track Worktapes in 2023 and the album The Acrobat in 2026. Over the course of her career, Tenille Townes has also opened for Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town and collaborated with artists such as Donovan Woods, Bryan Adams, Nate Haller and Lori McKenna.
