Meghan Patrick
Born in Bowmanville, Ontario, Meghan Patrick belongs to a North American country scene that balances traditional roots with contemporary sounds. After starting out with the folk‑bluegrass band The Stone Sparrows, active mainly on the Canadian circuit, she launched a solo career and signed with Warner Music Canada, gradually dividing her time between Canada and Nashville. The release of her debut album, 'Grace & Grit' (2016), laid the groundwork for a style blending modern country, rock accents and songwriting focused on intimate narratives, while 'Country Music Made Me Do It' (2018) extended this approach with a stronger grounding in contemporary country radio. Meghan Patrick has developed a direct vocal style, favoring accessible melodies and lyrics that address relationships, independence and the everyday life of touring musicians, while retaining the folk and bluegrass touches from her early years. With 'Heart on My Glass' (2021) she foregrounds a more introspective strain where americana and country‑pop influences intersect, supported by collaborative songwriting within Nashville's community of songwriters.
