Cam

Based between California and Nashville, singer-songwriter Cam (Camaron Marvel Ochs) crafts a country style infused with pop and folk, with a marked attention to intimate narratives and everyday details. After studying psychology, Cam began writing for other artists in Nashville, particularly in country and pop, before releasing a self-produced debut EP and then the EP Welcome to Cam Country in 2015, which brought her to prominence on the contemporary country scene. That same year, the album Untamed (2015) placed Cam in a register that blends stripped-down ballads and more uptempo tracks, anchored by the single "Burning House," which received a Grammy nomination in the country category. Cam has continued writing beyond mainstream Nashville — co-writing, for example, "Palace" for Sam Smith — while asserting a more personal universe on The Otherside (2020), where introspective songwriting, pop melodies and modern country instrumentation intersect. On stage, Cam adapts these songs to settings ranging from intimate clubs to large festivals, maintaining a regular presence in the United States and internationally.
