Ashland Craft
Born in Piedmont, South Carolina, Ashland Craft is part of a new generation of American country, blending narrative songwriting with Southern rock energy and honky‑tonk touches. After starting out on barroom and small regional stages, she gained attention in 2017 during season 13 of The Voice in the United States as a member of Miley Cyrus’s team, which gave her national exposure and prompted a move to Nashville. Signed to Big Loud Records, she builds a repertoire dominated by themes of the road, independence and romantic relationships, delivered with a rough, direct vocal approach. Her debut studio album, Travelin’ Kind, released in 2021, collects songs co-written by Craft and leans toward a modern country rooted in the Americana tradition, with blues and rock inflections. The record includes a collaboration with guitarist‑singer Marcus King, highlighting her affinity for a broader country‑rock universe. Onstage she frequently opens for contemporary country acts such as Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs, consolidating a career focused on live performance and songwriting.
