Perel

Under the name Perel, Annegret Fiedler has been crafting electronic music from Berlin that draws on new wave, post-punk and synth-pop, with a practice centered on production, vocals and DJing. Raised in Saxony, Perel began writing and producing from an electronic imagination shaped as much by Kraftwerk and Aphex Twin as by The Cure, before embedding herself in Berlin’s club scene. Her early tracks were released on labels such as Uncanny Valley, Running Back, Permanent Vacation and Kompakt; she later became the first German artist signed to DFA Records and released the album Hermetica in 2018. Her approach blends crisp synth lines, a dance pulse, a dark post‑punk tension and vocals she often integrates live into her sets, placing her on the border between electronic live performance and the DJ format. Over the years Perel has appeared in techno clubs and at festivals alike, including Panorama Bar in Berlin and Sónar. Based between Berlin and Los Angeles, she continues to evolve a repertoire where club energy, pop songwriting and cool, melodic electronic textures intersect.
