Boys' Shorts

Boys' Shorts brings together Vangelis, also active under the name LAGASTA, and Tareq in a duo focused on the intersections of house, slow techno, disco and acid. They craft a club sound that is at once supple and taut, with pronounced basslines, direct rhythms and a taste for dark or sensual textures, extending the vibe of their DJ sets. The project has gradually found its place on the European electronic scene through releases on labels such as Phantasy, HE.SHE.THEY., Polari, Permanent Vacation, Future Disco, Iptamenos Discos, Live at Robert Johnson and Correspondant. Boys' Shorts has also produced remixes for artists from neighboring fields, including Hot Chip, Alison Goldfrapp, Poolside, Kasper Bjørke, Joe Goddard and Yuksek x Polo & Pan. Alongside their productions, Boys' Shorts tours regularly across Europe and the United States, playing venues like Berghain/Panorama Bar in Berlin, E1 in London, Le Bain, Good Room and House of Yes in New York, as well as festivals such as Lost Village and WECANDANCE.
