Captain Mustache

Based in Paris, Captain Mustache has been developing since 2020 a project positioned between melodic techno, electro, indie dance and the electroclash legacy, with a marked taste for synthetic textures, taut basslines and an atmosphere that is both nocturnal and off-kilter. A French producer and DJ, Captain Mustache releases music on labels such as Kompakt, Mobilee, Permanent Vacation, Exploited, Return To Disorder and Bedrock, operating in a space that combines club efficiency, nods to space disco and a more frontal approach inherited from Detroit. His trajectory also includes several vocal and production collaborations with artists from the electro and techno scenes—among them Dave Clarke, Arnaud Rebotini, Chicks on Speed, The Advent and Keith Tucker—that extend this aesthetic between mechanical tension and oblique pop. In 2023 Captain Mustache issued The Super Album on Kompakt, a long-format record that encapsulates the evolution of his work. On stage and in DJ sets, Captain Mustache is present in the clubs and electronic festival circuit with a proposition centered on rhythm, dark melodies and direct energy.
