Electrosexual
Born in Paris in 1975, linked to Toulouse and long-established in Berlin, Electrosexual has since the mid-2000s developed a solo project at the crossroads of electroclash, house, synth-pop and italo-disco, with a writing approach oriented toward retro-futurist textures, sequenced bass lines and club rhythms. After a first notable appearance on the Berlin scene in 2005, Electrosexual founded the Rock Machine Records label and released singles and EPs, often in dialogue with other voices from the queer and electronic scene, notably Scream Club, Peaches, Hanin Elias, Hard Ton, Billie Ray Martin, Aérea Negrot, David Carretta or Kiko. His career spans live performances, DJ sets and production, with appearances at venues and festivals such as Paradiso in Amsterdam, SO36 and the Kantine of Berghain in Berlin, La Machine du Moulin Rouge in Paris or Waves Vienna. In 2014, Electrosexual released the album Art Support Machine, followed by Art Support Remix in 2016, extending a universe where dark disco, electro body music and synth-pop meet. Among recent releases are Darkroom in 2018, Divine Lust in 2022, Age of Access in 2023 and the track Tomorrow with Kiko in 2024. Electrosexual also pursues directing work for several of his videos, maintaining a coherent visual continuity with his musical aesthetic.
