Lynks

Rooted in London’s queer scene, Lynks has been developing a solo project since the early 2020s that sits at the crossroads of electro-punk, dance-punk, art pop and club music. The songs often feature spoken or chanted vocals, blunt humour and a strong performative element. First appearing under the name Lynks Afrikka before shortening it to Lynks, the project emerged in the UK via a string of EPs and regular live activity across London’s indie and queer circuits. Lynks’s music blends crisp electronic rhythms, off-kilter pop hooks, spoken word and post‑punk energy—crafted for both stage and dancefloor. Over successive releases Lynks has widened their palette toward more narrative tracks and sharper contrasts between satire, vulnerability, sexuality and references to contemporary queer culture. This evolution has been accompanied by a deal with Heavenly Recordings and appearances at British events and stages such as Latitude, Reading and Heaven, continuing a trajectory built between clubs, festivals and London’s underground.
