Bimini
Born in Great Yarmouth, England, and based in East London, Bimini, also credited under the name Bimini Bon-Boulash, develops a project at the crossroads of electronic pop, breakbeat, big beat and eurodance, with a marked taste for club textures and references to 1990s British dance. Revealed to the public in 2021 by season 2 of RuPaul's Drag Race UK, where her appearance largely accompanied her musical emergence, Bimini initially operates within London's drag and queer scenes before expanding her activities to fashion, publishing and recording. Her solo discography begins with the single God Save This Queen in 2021, followed notably by Tommy's Dream and Different Kinds of People in 2022, then the EP When the Party Ends in 2023. In this format as in her subsequent singles, Bimini works a front-facing pop writing, driven by clean bass, punchy breaks and a dance energy that remains anchored in an alternative aesthetic. Parallel to this, Bimini has toured the United Kingdom with the collective United Kingdolls and participated in several productions from the Drag Race universe, a path that links club culture, live performance and accessible electronic music while maintaining a clearly queer grounding.
