Michael Bibi

Based in London, Michael Bibi emerged within the British house scene with a sound situated between tech house, minimal and percussive house, built on thick basslines, dry grooves and frequent use of manipulated vocals. Active since the early 2010s, he circulated his first tracks on labels such as Viva Music, Snatch! and Lost Records before further shaping his career by co-founding Solid Grooves with PAWSA. Both a label and an events series, Solid Grooves firmly established Michael Bibi in the club circuits of London, Ibiza and other European scenes, where his DJ sets emphasize rhythmic efficiency, tight loops and a very direct reading of the dancefloor. In parallel he also releases on SG Raw, another platform linked to his universe, and collaborates with several producers from the contemporary house scene. His aesthetic remains focused on precise, stripped-down club music, with a pronounced sense of swing and tension, in an approach that connects the English house tradition to more organic influences from funk, soul and jazz.
