Russian Village Boys

Based in Russia, Russian Village Boys have been developing since the mid-2010s a project that blends internet culture, rural imagery, and fast electronic music. The group sits within a hardbass and hardstyle vein infused with rave, eurodance and pop, producing tracks built around pronounced rhythms, simple choruses, and slogans sung in Russian and English. Russian Village Boys first gained visibility through videos and memes circulating on social media, before stepping up tours in clubs and festivals across Eastern and then Western Europe. Their productions rely on an intentionally caricatural aesthetic of Russian 'village life': tracksuits, collective choreography, and a neighborhood-party atmosphere transposed into a rave setting. The group releases numerous digital singles and notably collaborated with Basshunter on the 2020 track “Rave Love,” strengthening their place in a harddance scene with a strong visual and humorous dimension.
