Dr Peacock

Active at the intersection of hardcore and frenchcore, Dr Peacock has developed since the early 2010s an aesthetic centered on very fast tempos, percussive rhythms and prominently featured melodies. Hailing from the Netherlands, the producer and DJ is rooted in the Dutch hard dance tradition while incorporating influences from trance, classical music and folk themes, often reinterpreted as orchestral motifs and sung choruses. Dr Peacock made his mark on the European frenchcore scene through a series of singles and collaborations—notably with Sefa and various hardcore artists—which gradually brought him to the main stages of specialist festivals in Europe and beyond. Alongside his DJ activities, he has built his universe around Peacock Records, a label dedicated to the most melodic and festive strands of frenchcore. His performances emphasize rapid sequencing of tracks, extended build-ups and a sonic palette that alternates euphoric passages with more brutal sections, anchoring him in a circuit of clubs, raves and major hard-music events where he regularly tours.
