Marco Faraone

Born in Florence, Marco Faraone honed his craft in the Tuscan club scene before establishing himself, from the late 2000s, as a regular presence in European house and techno. His early productions ranged between house, tech-house and techno; over time his output tightened toward a more direct club techno driven by nervous grooves, dry percussion and a marked sense of rhythmic tension, while retaining the suppleness inherited from house. Across the years he has released tracks and remixes on several labels associated with the contemporary electronic scene, including Drumcode, Rekids, Moon Harbour and Desolat, which coincided with his transition to an international circuit of clubs and festivals. At the same time Marco Faraone developed the Uncage label, a platform where he pursued an artistic line centered on functional, physical and precise techno, occasionally laced with acid, breakbeat or groovier accents depending on the project. Equally a DJ and a producer, Marco Faraone thus situates his career within a dancefloor culture where progression, impact and the continuity of the mix are central.
