Hector Couto

Born in Tenerife, in the Canary Islands, Hector Couto has built since the late 2000s a career rooted in the European underground house scene, spanning tech house, minimal house and a more classic house heritage. A DJ, producer and head of the Roush label, he emerged in the early 2010s with a series of EPs released notably on Hot Creations and 20/20 Vision, then set up his own imprint as an extension of his studio work and collaborations with other house producers. His writing relies on crisp rhythms, rounded basslines, vocal loops and a taste for direct textures, striking a balance between club effectiveness and production precision. Behind the decks, Hector Couto moves between percussive house, tech house and minimal without sticking to a fixed format, which leads him to perform both in Ibiza clubs and on European and international stages.
