Arielle Free

Born in Stirling and based in Glasgow from childhood, Arielle Free operates across radio, production and DJ sets within the British electronic scene. Trained in dance before moving into media and then clubs, she first worked in television and podcasting before joining BBC Radio 1 in 2019 for the early breakfast show, and taking a weekday slot from 2021, while maintaining a regular presence on Radio 1 Dance. At the same time she has developed a DJ career on club and festival stages and runs Free Your Mind, both a party brand and a label. Her repertoire sits in direct, vocal house designed for the club, with disco and dance-pop inflections and a clean electronic production focused on rhythmic energy.
