Whethan

US-based producer and DJ Whethan, born Ethan Snoreck, first emerged from Chicago’s electronic scene before building a career split between the studio and North American touring. Born in 1999, he began by sharing his work online—remixes and original tracks—then established himself with a highly melodic electronic style blending future bass, pop, trap, and indie influences. His output alternates between club-ready instrumentals and song-oriented formats featuring guest vocalists, marked by catchy hooks, bright synthetic textures, and syncopated rhythms. Over the years, Whethan has multiplied collaborations with artists from pop, EDM, and alternative music, particularly around singles that spread widely on streaming platforms and placed him on festival lineups and international tours. His debut full-length album, Fantasy, arrived in 2020, gathering several of these collaborations under a pop-leaning electronic aesthetic. In 2024, Whethan released Midnight, extending this fusion of electronic production, pop songwriting, and more alternative influences, and cementing his place within a US electronic scene oriented toward crossover.
