Zaho

Zaho is a Franco-Algerian singer, songwriter and producer, born in Bab El Oued, Algiers, who settled in Canada before making her mark on the francophone scene. She rose to prominence in the late 2000s with the hit “C’est chelou,” from her debut album Dima, which launched a career marked by success. Blending pop, R&B and urban sounds, Zaho has carved out a distinctive style that combines strength, sensitivity and catchy melodies. Tracks such as “Kif’n’dir,” “Je te promets,” “Tourner la page” and “Laissez-les kouma” (with MHD) demonstrate her ability to pair introspective lyrics with anthemic choruses. At the same time she writes and composes for many artists — including Florent Pagny, Chimène Badi and Jenifer — confirming her talent as a songwriter. A committed, independent artist, she affirms her Algerian roots while embodying a modern, world-facing urbanity. With albums like Contagieuse and Résilience, Zaho continues to build a solid and inspiring career, driven by a singular voice and a strong personality.
