Lynda
Born in Garges-lès-Gonesse in the Val-d’Oise, Lynda develops a contemporary RnB rooted in soul, urban pop and oriental touches linked to her Franco-Algerian origins. She began to gain attention in the early 2010s by sharing covers and original tracks online, before joining the Wati B label in 2012. That first phase also put her on stage alongside artists from the collective and on tours with Black M, Sexion d’Assaut and The Shin Sekaï. Over the years Lynda has refined a songwriting focus on romantic relationships, disillusionment, doubt and attachment, with a flexible, direct vocal that moves between soul melody and RnB cadence. After several singles, including Reste, Conscience, L’amour ne suffit pas and Ma berceuse, she signed with Polydor and broadened her audience through occasional collaborations, notably with Gims, Dadju, Soolking, Franglish and Soprano. Her discography is organized around Papillon in 2020, Un peu de moi in 2023, and L’album du mâle in 2025, a project shared with Imen Es. Between introspective songs and more upfront tracks, Lynda occupies a space between French urban pop, RnB and melodies with North African inflections.
