Sheryfa Luna

Born in Évreux under the name Chérifa Babouche, Sheryfa Luna established herself at the end of the 2000s in an R&B and pop register marked by direct melodies, accessible urban productions, and performances centered on the themes of love. Of Franco-Algerian origin, she became known in 2007 by winning the fourth season of Popstars, the starting point of a rapid discography with the single Quelque part, followed by the album Sheryfa Luna in 2007. She followed with Vénus in 2008, where her writing and universe remained anchored in Francophone R&B at the crossroads of contemporary variety, before Si tu me vois in 2010 and Petite fée de soie in 2012. Over the years, Sheryfa Luna has evolved her repertoire toward a pop more open to dance rhythms and light electronic productions, without breaking the sentimental dimension of her songs. Her trajectory has also included duets and collaborations with Mathieu Edward, Quentin Mosimann, Axel Tony, Medhy Custos, Jahid, and Lady Ponce, as well as regular television appearances. Having been on the French scene for over fifteen years, Sheryfa Luna continues to sustain a career linked to Francophone urban pop, between singles, collaborations, and occasional returns such as Dans les étoiles in 2022.
