Rudimental

Born in Hackney, east London, Rudimental brings together Piers Agget, Kesi Dryden, Amir Amor and Leon "DJ Locksmith" Rolle around an electronic sound that blends drum and bass, jungle, house, soul and pop. The quartet began releasing its first tracks in the early 2010s, notably "Deep in the Valley" and "Speeding" in 2011, before reaching a new level in 2012 with "Feel the Love" recorded with John Newman. That period established Rudimental's formula: club rhythms, heavily sung choruses and regular collaborations with guest vocalists such as Ella Eyre, Alex Clare, Emeli Sandé, MNEK and Foxes. Their debut album, Home, came out in 2013, followed by We the Generation in 2015, where Rudimental maintained a balance between stage-ready tracks and more pop-oriented songwriting, including collaborations with Ed Sheeran. Rudimental further broadened their scope with Toast to Our Differences in 2019, the EP Distinction the same year, and Ground Control in 2021. Across these records, Rudimental has kept an identity centered on accessible drum and bass, nourished by British soul and London sound-system culture.
