Matrixxman

Under the name Matrixxman, Charles McCloud Duff has built a career from the United States as an electronic music producer and DJ centered on tense, dark and functional techno, regularly threaded with acid, electro and industrial accents. Matrixxman emerged in the early 2010s with a string of releases that quickly established his club language, notably The XX Files in 2013, followed by Amulet, The Spell EP, 808 State of Mind and Nubian Metropolis in 2014. In 2015 Matrixxman continued with StuxNet and released Homesick on Ghostly International — a longer format that broadened his approach with more introspective textures; Homesick Remixes followed in 2016, and Identity Crisis appeared in 2024. Alongside production, Matrixxman maintains a steady DJ presence on techno stages, with sets that prioritize rhythmic density, dry bass and sustained tension rather than flashy effects. Altogether, this outlines a coherent trajectory between direct club music and a more detailed focus on atmosphere.
