Quelza

Active between Berlin and the Paris region in France, Quelza has established himself as a techno producer and DJ at the intersection of hypnotic, break-influenced and industrial aesthetics. Introduced to electronic music early on, he initially honed productions at fast tempos and with detailed textures before shifting his focus to a more narrative techno, structured by long rhythmic crescendos and dense atmospheres. Based in Berlin, Quelza has gravitated toward labels specializing in contemporary techno such as Mord and Hayes, where several maxi singles were released that put him on the radar of clubs and collectives across Europe. His first full-length album, “Les Malicieuses Futures”, released in 2022 on Mord, synthesizes this approach by combining linear pulses, ambient passages and discreet melodic motifs. On stage, Quelza favors sets built on tension and textural variation, balancing rhythmic precision with the use of sonic space, which places him among a generation of producers for whom techno is as much a field for formal experimentation as it is dance music.
