Mushroomhead

Active since 1993 in Cleveland, Ohio, Mushroomhead grew out of the local metal scene as a collective with a fluid lineup, bringing together multiple vocalists, guitarists, keyboardists and percussionists around Steve “Skinny” Felton, the only member to have been present throughout the band's history. Mushroomhead developed a hybrid metal that crosses alternative metal, industrial metal, nu metal and experimental influences, with song structures that also incorporate electronic, hip‑hop, gothic and percussive elements, including the stage use of costumes, masks and water drums. After an initial self‑produced phase with Mushroomhead (1995), Superbuick (1996) and M3 (1999), the band widened its audience in the early 2000s with XX (2001) and then XIII (2003), before continuing with Savior Sorrow (2006), Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children (2010), The Righteous & the Butterfly (2014), A Wonderful Life (2020) and Call the Devil (2024). Over the years, Mushroomhead has moved between club circuits, American tours and festivals such as Ozzfest or Mayhem, while maintaining a visual and sonic identity shaped by lineup changes and the coexistence of several voices.
