KlangKuenstler

Michael Korb, who produces under the name KlangKuenstler, emerged in the early 2010s on the German electronic scene with productions oriented toward house, deep house and minimal techno, before evolving his music into faster, rougher and denser techno. Based in Berlin, KlangKuenstler has gradually shifted his writing from a warmer, groovier register to a tense sound built on dry percussion, acidic lines, pounding bass and dark atmospheres that reference both 1990s rave and EBM as well as contemporary hard techno. This trajectory is reflected in his releases and in his DJ sets, played in clubs and festivals across Europe. KlangKuenstler nonetheless retains a sense of progression from his early years, with readable structures, clear builds and a constant attention to rhythmic movement.
