Jacques Greene

Under the name Jacques Greene, Philippe Aubin‑Dionne has developed an electronic music practice from Montréal and later Toronto, positioned between club-oriented production, experimentation and an R&B sensibility. Active around the turn of the 2010s, Jacques Greene emerged from the Turbo Crunk parties in Montréal and a local scene that included Lunice, Ango and Seb Diamond, before gaining wider attention with the single “Another Girl” in 2011. His early releases appeared on labels such as LuckyMe, Night Slugs, UNO and 3024, and in 2011 he co‑founded Vase Records, a label and creative platform that reinforced his ties to Canadian and British electronic scenes. His work blends dance rhythms, chopped vocals, melodic textures and production that deliberately oscillates between introspection and club energy. Over the years he has collaborated with Katy B, Tinashe and How to Dress Well, and produced remixes for Radiohead, Ciara, Autre Ne Veut and Shlohmo. His discography includes several notable EPs and the albums Feel Infinite (2017) and Dawn Chorus (2019), both released on LuckyMe.
