Two Shell

Trained in the United Kingdom, Two Shell has, since the late 2010s, pursued a singular trajectory in British electronic music, blending UK garage, grime, bass music, rave and deconstructed pop. The duo emerged with several releases on Livity Sound, including the EPs Two Shell and Icons in 2019, where a taste for staccato rhythms, reworked vocals and short, mobile tracks already appeared, often on the border between club efficiency and subversion. Two Shell subsequently broadened their audience with tracks such as Home in 2022, while maintaining a deliberately blurred identity through public appearances, performances and dissemination methods. This distance, however, never replaces the music: for Two Shell, the codes of garage, drum & bass, techno and digital pop are compressed into vivid, unstable formats, threaded with abrupt samples, fleeting melodies and editing that borrows as much from internet culture as from British club scenes. In 2024, Two Shell released the album Two Shell, extending this fragmented and immediate aesthetic, designed as much for listening as for the dancefloor.
