HOSH
Born in Hamburg in 1986 as Holger Behn, HOSH (or H.O.S.H.) emerged from the mid-2000s on the German house and techno scene with productions that blend deep house, melodic house and techno with restrained textures. Close to the Diynamic collective from the start—he was one of its earliest members—HOSH has released tracks on Diynamic as well as on Stil vor Talent, Kindisch, Get Physical, Poker Flat and Bedrock, while maintaining a steady output of remixes. His early releases with Solomun, such as the Oelkersallee EP in 2006, and tracks like "White Elephant" in 2007 established a compositional approach centered on groove, slow progressions and an ever-present, understated melody. In 2010 HOSH released the album Connecting.The.Dots on Diynamic, an important milestone in a career later extended by the Forever Young series in 2013 and 2014 and by the Karma EP in 2017. That same year he founded the label fryhide, through which he refined a more atmospheric, narrative aesthetic on the border between deep house and melodic techno. HOSH also collaborated with 1979 and Jalja on "Midnight (The Hanging Tree)" in 2019 and has produced remixes for Sono, RÜFÜS, Becky Hill and Sigala.
