Robosonic

Based in Berlin after leaving Lüdenscheid, Cord Henning Labuhn developed Robosonic in the mid-2000s as a house and techno project, first built as a duo with Sacha Robotti, then solo from 2017. The name appears on records as early as 2005, in a club-oriented electronic vein where minimal house, tech house and rougher grooves cross paths, with a taste for dry basslines, supple rhythms and productions designed for the dancefloor without seeking a massive effect. Robosonic also founded the Undercoverart label and released his first album, Sturm und Drang, in 2007. Over the years the project circled between labels and scenes tied to European club culture, with releases such as Juicy in 2015, Peach in 2017 and For The People in 2019, as well as several occasional collaborations, notably with Laura Weider, K.E.E.N.E., Ferreck Dawn, Mat.Joe and Ashibah. Anchored in the Berlin scene, Robosonic sits in a continuity between DJ sets and production, with stints in clubs like Kater Blau, Ritter Butzke or Watergate, and a sound that links modern house, light techno and direct electronic textures.
