Evil Activities

Active since the late 1990s in the Netherlands, Evil Activities continues the lineage of Dutch hardcore rooted in gabber culture. Developed within the orbit of Neophyte Records, the project built a fast, frontal sound based on heavy rhythms, dark melodies, synthetic pads and processed vocals, giving its tracks both a rave and a dramatic edge. With albums such as Dedicated (2003), Never Fall Asleep (2008) and Extreme Audio (2012), Evil Activities gradually broadened its palette, incorporating more melodic choruses and wider structures while remaining anchored in a straightforward, accessible hardcore designed for large formats. Often paired onstage with MC Alee, Evil Activities has for many years moved between specialist clubs and festivals on the European hardcore circuit associated with Thunderdome, Masters of Hardcore and Dominator. It therefore occupies a lasting place in the Dutch hard dance scene, at the crossroads of classic gabber, mainstream hardcore and a more anthemic style of writing.
