Dylan LeBlanc
Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 1990 and raised between that city and Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Dylan LeBlanc fits into an Americana tradition that blends folk, country and atmospheric rock. The son of songwriter James LeBlanc, he spent time at the Muscle Shoals studios from an early age, an experience that shaped his writing and his taste for spare arrangements. He came to attention in the late 2000s and released his debut album Paupers Field in 2010, already exploring recurring themes of personal drift and Southern US landscapes, followed by Cast the Same Old Shadow in 2012. After a period away from the stage he returned with Cautionary Tale in 2016, recorded at Muscle Shoals, and with Renegade in 2019, which has a more electric sound and more prominent guitars while remaining focused on the song. Dylan LeBlanc performs solo or with a band, alternating between clubs, small venues and festivals across Europe and North America. His records are marked by a clear, melancholic voice, often slow or mid-tempo pacing and narrative songwriting, placing him among songwriters for whom atmosphere matters as much as the told details.
