FFF - Fédération Française de Funk
FFF, or the Fédération Française de Funk, is a French band formed in Paris in the late 1980s, known for its explosive blend of rock, funk and punk energy. Led by Marco Prince, Yarol Poupaud, Nicolas Baby and Krishoo Monthieux, the group established itself in the early 1990s as a major force on the French alternative scene thanks to its strong sense of groove, incisive guitars and electrifying stage presence. Tracks like Le Pire et le Meilleur, Barbès and Responsabilité affirmed their hybrid, punchy identity, while their eponymous album FFF (1996) became a benchmark of French funk-rock. Renowned for their feverish, unifying live shows, FFF left a lasting mark on the 1990s before taking a break and later reconvening intermittently, each time reuniting a loyal audience. With a sound that is raw, festive and unruly, the Fédération Française de Funk remains a central figure in French groove.
