Ferry Corsten

Born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, in 1973, Ferry Corsten began DJing and producing in the late 1980s, moving from Dutch hardcore and gabber to a more melodic style between trance and progressive house. Corsten rose to prominence in the 1990s under several aliases—most notably System F, Moonman, Pulp Victim and Albion—with tracks such as "Out of the Blue", and through collaborative projects like Gouryella with Tiësto and Veracocha with Vincent de Moor. His career has encompassed production, remixes and club compilations within the European trance scene and at major international events. Under his own name he released the albums Right of Way (2003), L.E.F. (2006), Twice in a Blue Moon (2008), WKND (2012), Blueprint (2017) and Connect (2024). He also founded the label Flashover Recordings after co-founding Tsunami, and developed several radio formats, from Corsten’s Countdown to Resonation Radio. Ferry Corsten’s sound blends progressive structures, expansive synthetic choruses and club energy, ranging from vocal trance to more direct forms of electronic festival music.
