Orjan Nilsen
Born in Kirkenes, in northern Norway, Ørjan Nilsen has since the mid-2000s developed a trajectory tied to the European trance and melodic house scenes. He first appears with productions and remixes released under his own name but also under the aliases DJ Governor and Orion, before settling permanently in the Armada Music label ecosystem, where notably 'Red Woods' was released in 2006, followed by tracks such as 'La Guitarra' in 2008, 'Lovers Lane' in 2010, or 'Go Fast!' in 2011. Nilsen's sound combines energetic trance, very clear melodic lines and elements more electro or progressive, with a marked taste for strong build-ups and instrumental refrains. His discography includes the albums In My Opinion (2011), No Saint Out of Me (2013), Prism (2018) and The Devil Is In The Detail (2019). Over the years, Ørjan Nilsen has collaborated with artists such as Armin van Buuren, Cosmic Gate, John O'Callaghan, Fingerling, or Mark Sixma, the latter also his partner in the project Nilsix. Present on both the big EDM festivals and international trance circuits, Ørjan Nilsen alternates club singles, vocal tracks and remixes, while maintaining regular activity as a DJ and producer.
