Fakear
Producer and electronic musician based between Caen and Paris, Fakear — born Théo Le Vigoureux — made his mark on the French scene in the early 2010s with a series of EPs combining electronic textures, downtempo rhythms and influences drawn from world music. He was noticed on the Nowadays Records label with releases such as “Morning In Japan” (2013), “Dark Lands” (2013) and “Sauvage” (2014). Fakear developed a melodic sound where ambient atmospheres, touches of house, a trip‑hop legacy and travel‑inspired motifs intersect, notably on the track “La Lune Rousse” featuring the voice of Deva Premal. His first album, “Animal,” appeared in 2016, followed by “All Glows” in 2018 and “Everything Will Grow Again” in 2020, which continue his electronic approach focused on contrasts between atmospheric layers and prominent percussion. With “Talisman” in 2023, Fakear further refines a register oriented toward the live stage, with tracks conceived to be replayed and rearranged across clubs, concert halls and European festivals. Through collaborations with singers from pop and global music, Fakear grounds his work in a constant intersection between French electronic culture and international references.
