Albert Tawil

Born in Paris into a family of Lebanese origin, Albert Tawil develops very early a close relationship with music, nourished in particular by the lyrical universe of his mother, an opera singer. A writer, composer, performer and independent producer, Albert Tawil builds a project at the crossroads of chanson, pop and oriental sonorities, mixing French and Arabic in pieces with a contemporary format. His path first passes through autodidact and multi-instrumentalist practice, before broader visibility online thanks to remixes and covers that circulate on networks. This exposure accompanies the assertion of a musical identity centered on the dialogue between Levantine heritage, melodic writing and current production. Albert Tawil thus belongs to a Francophone scene open to cultural crossings, with regular on-stage presence in Paris, where he presents his compositions in a pop format nourished by oriental inflections and a direct vocal approach.
