Antes & Madzes

Trained in Rodez by Sylvain Antes and Rémi Massol, Antes & Madzes has since the mid-2010s developed a French rap nourished by electro, rock and pop, with writing anchored in everyday life and the realities of provincial life. Based in Toulouse from 2016, the duo cut its teeth on local stages, entered talent contests and also opened for artists such as Vald, Bigflo et Oli, Guizmo or Puppetmastaz. Their discography consists of several EPs marking the project's evolution: Plein d’histoires in 2019, En vrai in 2022, Bienvenue chez nous in 2024, then Merci De rien in 2025. Across these releases, Antes & Madzes refined a formula that blends rap phrasing, singing, pop textures and rock accents, without abandoning a direct approach to the text. Their universe often highlights rural life, youth and ordinary social tensions, with an identity tied to Aveyron and Occitanie. Accompanied in its productions by collaborators such as Léo Magos, Frip and Tape C, Antes & Madzes is part of a rap scene that seeks both narrative and melodic openness.
