Aaron Pritchett
Born in Terrace, British Columbia, and linked to the Kitimat scene and then the Canadian West, Aaron Pritchett has since the mid-1990s developed a straightforward country grounded in the radio format, blending contemporary country, light rock, and narrative-toned ballads. Pritchett began as a DJ and musician in British Columbia clubs before widening his audience in the early 2000s, notably after winning CMT's Project Discovery competition. His discography includes Young in Love (1996), Consider This (2002), Something Goin' On Here (2003), Big Wheel (2006), Thankful (2008), In the Driver's Seat (2010), followed by the Body of Work: A Collection of Hits (2015) compilation. With The Score (2016), Pritchett returned to the Canadian country scene with tracks like Dirt Road in ’Em, Out of the Blue and When a Momma's Boy Meets a Daddy's Girl, before reaching the No. 1 spot on Canada Country with Better When I Do (2019). His EP Out on the Town was released the same year. A touring mainstay across Canada, Pritchett has also shared the bill with Toby Keith and collaborated occasionally with other Canadian country artists. In 2024, he released Demolition, continuing a songwriting focus on road songs, partying and everyday life.
