Article15

Formed in Paris in 2024, Article15 brings together the Congolese performer Wilfried Luzele, also active as Lova Lova, and producer Théo Levaufre, associated with the Gargäntua project, in a duo that crosses rap, electronic music and sonic heritages between Kinshasa and Europe. The name Article15 refers to a popular Congolese expression originating in the political context of South Kasaï in the early 1960s, which entered common usage with the idea of getting by on one’s own. This historical charge feeds Article15’s identity, whose music mixes vocals in Lingala and French, rhythmic tension, dark textures and club energy. The project develops a rough, frontal aesthetic, sometimes close to an urban trance, where melodic motifs sit alongside dry, abrasive productions. Article15 thus participates in a contemporary circulation between African and European scenes, with a stage format conceived around the physical impact of rap and dance, without separating the social narrative from rhythmic force.
