Danny Tenaglia

Born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1961, Danny Tenaglia was shaped by American club culture before a pivotal period in Miami in the mid-1980s, where he became a resident at the Cheers, playing a repertoire tied to New York and Chicago house. Returning to New York in the early 1990s, he refined an identity centered on house, tribal house and progressive house, favoring long builds, percussive rhythms and crossovers with techno. That era also saw extensive remix work for Right Said Fred, Jamiroquai, Madonna and Depeche Mode. In New York’s nightlife he left a lasting mark on clubs such as Twilo—where he held a residency from 1996—and Tunnel from 1998. On the production side he released Tourism in 1998, which includes "Elements" and "Music Is the Answer" featuring Celeda, followed by compilations and mixes like Global Underground: Athens (1999), Choice: A Collection of Classics (2003) and Futurism (2008). Since then Danny Tenaglia has maintained an international trajectory between clubs and festivals, blending deep house, rhythmic tension and tribal textures.
