Darkways

Based in Barcelona, Darkways operates as a duo in a register that blends goth rock, darkwave and post-punk, with dark guitars, a prominent bass and electronic textures that extend the rock momentum without diluting it. The project continues the lineage of European coldwave and goth scenes while maintaining a direct, melodic songwriting anchored by steady rhythms. Darkways released Resonance in 2024, a debut album that clearly defines their aesthetic between post-punk heritage, nocturnal ambience and contemporary production. Following this release, Darkways appears on several European stages connected to dark music, with scheduled appearances at festivals such as Wave-Gotik-Treffen, Castle Party, Ombra, Santuario and Der Schwarze Ball in 2025. The duo also features on bills alongside names like Sisters of Mercy, Kite, VNV Nation and French Police. In their tracks, Darkways favors a compact, accessible form where atmosphere remains central but always allows a post-punk rhythmic tension to circulate.
