Vioflesh

Formed in Santiago, Chile at the end of 2017, Vioflesh brings together vocalist Vio and producer Flesh in a darkwave and neo-coldwave project. The duo belongs to the alternative current that revisits the cold sonorities inherited from the 1980s, introducing a more sensual and directly emotional dimension. In Vioflesh, the voice occupies a central role, shaping pared-down melodic lines over restrained electronic rhythms, while the production favors dark soundscapes, pronounced bass and a distinctly nocturnal atmosphere. This interplay between vocal interpretation and studio work structures a coherent sonic universe, crossed by contrasts between restraint and intensity. Across its compositions, Vioflesh refines this language by playing with repetition, textural variation and a writing style that emphasizes moods rather than technical display. The project thus remains rooted in an identifiable darkwave aesthetic while incorporating contemporary elements from the independent electronic scene, placing Vioflesh at the crossroads of coldwave, dark synth-pop and minimal electronics.
