Eem Triplin
Born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Naeem Muhammad Triplin performs under the name Eem Triplin, crafting a rap sound that sits between plugg, cloud rap and melodic songwriting, featuring a laid-back flow, supple vocal lines and light productions with airy textures. Active since the late 2010s, Eem Triplin began primarily as a producer — notably for $not — while distributing his beats online and releasing his own tracks. His early projects, Nowh3r3 and No More Tears in 2019, established the foundations of a still-raw style, before gaining broader visibility in 2022 with the track “Awkward Freestyle,” which circulated widely on social media. What followed confirmed the move from behind-the-scenes work to a full-fledged artist project: stages like Rolling Loud New York, initial support tours with Lucki and later $not, and the release of the EP Still Pretty in 2023. After signing with RCA, Eem Triplin further expanded his scope with Melody of a Memory, his first studio album released in 2025 and executive-produced by DJ Dahi. He has since maintained an approach to rap grounded in fluidity, apparent nonchalance and a strong attention to melody.
