Crazy P

Formed in Nottingham in the mid-1990s around Chris Todd and Jim Baron, Crazy P developed a blend of organic electro, disco, deep house, funk and soul, with a strong affinity for warm grooves and formats that move between club-oriented tracks and more downtempo listening. Originally released under the name Crazy Penis, the project grew on the British house scene with early 1990s singles and the albums A Nice Hot Bath With... (1998), The Wicked Is Music (2002), 24 Hour Psychedelic Freakout (2003) and A Night on Earth (2005). From the early 2000s Crazy P expanded its lineup, notably adding bassist Tim Davies, percussionist Mav Kendricks and singer Danielle Moore, whose presence became central to the group’s identity on stage and in the studio. The name Crazy P was adopted in 2008 with Stop Space Return (2008), followed by When We On (2011), Walk Dance Talk Sing (2015), Age of the Ego (2019) and Any Signs of Love (2024). Between house soul, nu-disco and electronic pop, Crazy P also developed a regular activity as a live band and with DJ sets across club, festival and electronic circuits. The band’s trajectory remains closely linked to Danielle Moore, who passed away in 2024.
